Shoreline Hospitality, founded in 2019 by Andreas Acker & David Nuenemann, offers practice-oriented consulting services with a focus on leisure hotels & resorts as well as restaurants.
Our goal is not only to show opportunities and improvement possibilities, but also to define conclusive measures and then implement them together with our respective clients.
Due to our many years of international experience, extensive knowledge of the hotel market, its competitors and current developments as well as our objective perspective from outside, we have helped numerous companies to gain significant competitive advantages and increase their operating results.
We specifically provide new impulses and bring in current trends.
Particularly in times of crisis and uncertainty, can we also help your organization to identify problems at an early stage, highlight solutions for known problems or scrutinize concepts from the ground up and therefore assist to make every company 'fit' for the future.
David has two decades of experience in the international luxury hotel industry. After completing his hotel management degree and a 5 years’ stint in Hamburg at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten, where he and Andreas first met, he went abroad as a Food & Beverage Manager.
Continuously working with Fairmont Raffles Hotels International in the Caribbean and the USA; he spent a total of 6 years at the Raffles Hotel Canouan Island, initially as a Director of Food & Beverage and later even as Hotel manager.
Then he moved on with Kempinski Hotels; primarily at Mall of the Emirates, Dubai and later Dalian, China.
In the end, David found his passion in the resort business and so he went back to the Caribbean in 2016 to take over the overall management of all hotels on Canouan Island as the General Manager of: Pink Sands Club (later Mandarin Oriental, Canouan), Canouan Estate and Tamarind Beach Hotel.
Andreas also has twenty years of experience in the international hotel industry. After a classic apprenticeship program at the Kempinski Hotel Atlantic Hamburg, he advanced to the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Hamburg before quickly moving abroad.
For the Peninsula Hotels he was part of the opening team of the hotel in Chicago and was subsequently transferred to their flagship property in Hong Kong for 5 years.
As Front Office Manager, he went to the Caribbean, Raffles Resort Canouan Island, and then returned to Asia as Resident Manager. Initially operating on Phuket, Thailand and afterwards Shanghai, China.
Next up was Dubai, where he worked for the two hotels Al Qasr & Dar Al Masyaf, in the Madinat Jumeirah complex. Another stay in the Caribbean followed, again at Canouan Island, this time for the exclusive Pink Sands Club, later renamed Mandarin Oriental Canouan.
At the beginning of 2018, he went back to China as General Manager for Urban Resort Concepts at their PuShang Hotel, Xiamen, for a new opening.
